Beginner & Intermediate Sculpture Course (Monday Mornings)
Beginning and intermediate clay students will learn/further refine their clay building skills by creating a small whimsical sculpture of their choice. Students will concentrate on using fundamental clay practices to design and build their sculptures. Surface design through color, texture and carving will be emphasized and practiced. Students will also have demonstrations and hands on opportunities to use the slab roller, extruder, and wheel.
Dates: 6 weekly sessions beginning Monday, March 10 (Makeup dates April 21 and April 28 if needed)
Time: Mondays 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
Instructor: David Gentry
Includes: Open Studio time, 1st bag of clay, use of studio tools and glazes, storage space, kiln firing
