All Levels Handbuilt Pottery Course (Thursday Evenings)
Learn how to hand-build your own pottery without the potter’s wheel. In this fun and productive class you will learn how to create your own plates, cups, bowls, and vases using simple pinch, coil, and slab techniques. Students will learn how to plan a project from scratch, build it in clay, and finish it in our food-safe glazes. Hand building is a perfect place for beginners to start in clay, and for more experienced potters to try something completely different. Practice makes perfect, so extra open studio time is included. This is a perfect class to slow down and create some unique pieces in clay. Your first bag of clay and basic tools are also included, so get ready to be inspired!
Dates: 6 weekly sessions beginning Thursday, May 8 (Makeup dates June 19 and June 26, if needed)
Time: Thursdays, 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Instructor: Marissa Hudson
Includes: Open Studio time, 1st bag of clay, use of studio tools & glazes, storage space, kiln firing
