Suwanee Clayworks is proud to support a thriving community of both amateur and professional artists. With an Open Studio membership, you can take advantage of our space to let your imagination run wild. If you’ve taken a course with one of our instructors, you can enjoy access to the studio during open studio hours. Access our wheels, kilns, glazes, and more. Our staff is on-site to quickly help with any challenges that you might encounter while respecting your ceramics journey. Should require additional assistance, you may schedule a consult with one of our artists/instructors for a more personalized experience.

Who can use the Open Studio?

Open Studio is an independent creative workspace. In order to make this arrangement successful, participants need to have some knowledge of pottery and clay techniques. In particular, we require that open studio participants…

  • Possess prior clay studio experience and demonstrate the ability to independently complete projects successfully.

  • Complete of at least one class at Suwanee Clayworks so that you can learn how to safely use studio tools/equipment, our cleaning procedures, etc.

  • Respect that Suwanee Clayworks is a shared space, and can abide by proper studio etiquette.*

  • Have prior positive interactions with Studio Management, ensuring mutual confidence in success.

  • Sign the Open Studio Policies & Procedures.

  • Agree to adhere to Suwanee Clayworks Terms & Conditions.

Open Studio schedules are limited and subject to change based on enrollment; updates regarding each session’s open hours will be provided in the first week of classes.
